    Atlantis proudly brings to Manila the Tony Award winning musical HAIRSPRAY. Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, HAIRSPRAY features an original score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. Their songs take Tracy, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, from the soundstage of a 60's-style dance show to the streets of Baltimore to a downtown rhythm and blues record shop as she tries to integrate a television show without denting her 'do! Hairspray has also become a hit movie musical starring John Travolta, Zach Efron, Queen Latifah and Michelle Pfeiffer.

    HAIRSPRAY will play at the STAR THEATRE in the CCP Complex.  The country's finest performers have joined the cast of the Manila production of HAIRSPRAY. The cast includes: Michael de Mesa, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Dulce, Nyoy Volante, Leo Rialp, Noel Rayos and Gabe Mercado.

Hey,

I'm selling tickets to Hairspray the musical. It is being produced by the company that brought Avenue Q and Rent to the Philippines.

Madel Ching will be starring as Tracy Turnblad. Other actors are Dulce, Michael de Mesa (as Edna Turnblad, think John Travolta!) and Nyoy Volante.

Tickets prices are P600, P800, P1,000 and P1,200.

Hairspray will run on November 16, Sunday (that's this Sunday), 3-5:30pm at the Star Theater, CCP Complex.
