A Filipino-American singer and dancer is setting his sights on working alongside record producer and singer-songwriter Ryan Leslie through a contest sponsored by Talenthouse, a company that supports emerging artists and “a leading platform for creative collaboration, providing artists opportunities for recognition and compensation.”

Chase “Cha Cha” Malone, 22, a Seattle-based “half-Filipino/half-African-American,” has submitted his original song to Talenthouse’s Creative Invite contest.

Besides singing, Malone is also a member of Art of Movement Crew (AOM), a b-boying, or break dancing, group in Seattle, together with Park Jaebum, former leader of K-pop boy band 2PM, who was unceremoniously ousted by JYP Entertainment and his co-members last February.

Malone is a Fine Arts graduate of The Art Institute of Seattle, focusing on Media Arts and Animation. He is also into “Concept Art, Visual Development, and 3D Environment/Prop Modeling”.

“I also do graphic design work.  I've worked with several clients on large scale events and music promotions throughout the US and have enjoyed these opportunities very much,” he wrote on his website.

Under the Talenthouse Creative Invite contest, Lesli will judge the entries based on “musicianship, originality and entertainment value and the winning pick will be featured on RyanLeslie.com and promoted throughout his network of sites.”

The winner will spend a day with Leslie in a studio in New York City as the songwriter “produces for a major label recording artist.”

Leslie has worked with Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Keri Hilson, Rick Ross, and Jim Jones & Kid Cudi.

“This year is shaping up to be just as exciting and the talented winner of this creative invite will not only get a behind the scenes look at how records are made as they shadow Ryan but they will receive published credit for their participation in the process,” according to Talenthouse.

Leslie will pick the winner from the Top 15 most voted entries.

To vote for Malone, just text MGP42T and send to 53037 (US) or +49-177-178-12 08 (international).
