CYNTHIA ALEXANDER IN ACOUSTIC HOUR
If you missed Cynthia Alexander do Acoustic Hour at Mag:net Katipunan last Thursday, 20 November (7PM) is your next chance. Cynthia will be taking a regular, once-a-week Acoustic Hour slot starting in December. A well-known songwriter and composer and a highly regarded instrumentalist, Cynthia will surely be a treat to the university belt and the café regulars in the coming months. Mag:net's Acoustic Hour is from 7-9PM, Tuesday to Saturday and is free admission.

MORE POETRY NIGHTS IN MAG:NET KATIPUNAN
In addition to Happy Mondays Poetry Nights (Hosted by Joel Toledo on 1st and 3rd Mondays, 7-9PM), Mag:net Katipunan is announcing the holding of two more poetry nights: Ladlad Lit Nite which is hosted by Danton Remoto on 2nd Mondays and O.M.G. (Open Mic Gig) which is hosted by Vim Nadera on 4th Mondays. Katipunan readings start at 7PM. National artist Rio Alma gave the opening remarks at the O.M.G. launch last October 27. Ang Ladlad – the national organization of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Filipinos comprise most of the O.M.G. audience but the list of readers includes award-winning poets, gay and straight alike. Free Admission.
BAMBOO AT MAG:NET HIGH STREET
MTV Philippines puts the spotlight on one of the established superstars of the Philippine music scene and will present Bamboo in an early evening gig (6PM) at Mag:net High Street on 26 November. Bamboo will be playing songs from his new album "Tomorrow becomes Yesterday". A band that doesn't need any introduction, Bamboo has been making countless blips in the Pinoy Rock Radar. With numerous hits and chart topping singles, Bamboo is truly Pinoy Rock's band to watch out for. The Bamboo gig will be taped live and is free admission.
