On the afternoon of January 1, 2009, while watching TV with her daughter and Reg, she had an aneurysm, which then resulted in subsequent massive brain hemorrhage. That night, around 9 PM, she underwent an operation that involved draining the blood clot in order to relieve the pressure on the brain.
