    The Jerks formed in 1979, 1994 released its first album, The Jerks Live!!! recorded during a nightspot (Mayrics) performance and released on the local independent label, Backdoor Records. The band has built a reputation as one of the country's most exciting live acts, famed for gritty covers of tunes by the Rolling Stones, the Doors, the Who,Clash,Stray Cats, BOB Dylan and Bob Marley.Steely Dan atbp. The Jerks Live!!! however, comprises original material written by Jerks vocalist/guitarist Chickoy Pura. And later they also release an album under Star Record.
