Halmista was formed in 2004 by Skitz Trinidad (Vocals/Guitar) and Raymond Villar (Drums).
It all began from a trial jam. At that time Skitz was looking for a drummer who owns a drum set. Good things turned out from that jam, but it was not until 2007 that a solid line-up was formed when Skitz, finally met Kris Gomez (Lead Guitar). A year after, August Villamor (Bass) became the final addition.
Halmista is known for fusing various musical genres from each member's influence that helped in the creation of Halmista's signature sound. A sound that shows a new breed of Power Metal fused with Thrash Metal and Prog.
