Basilica is a metal rock band from Quezon City, Philippines which was formed in 2008. The band started their music career as an all-star band from After Shift Jam, a monthly gig held by musicians from the callcenter industry. Ramon, the frontman and with the help of Caloy the resident arranger, already had two songs written prior to Basilica being formed namely "Paraiso" and "Bulag" both of which were huge hit in ASJ gigs. After a few jams the band was able to write two more songs, "Multo" and "Live Little Child". There were a few member changes after a few months for various reasons ending up with the present lineup Ramon Panique, Jorel Villanueva, Archie Padolina and Nom Padolina, who recently wrote "Juan". Basilica is currently finalizing material for their first album which is expected to come out by the 2nd quarter of 2010, so until then Basilica will continue to bash your ears at their kickass-adrenaline-pumpin-heart-stoppin gigs!...RAKENROL!!!
