At Helen’s Wake is a rock band that is mainly focused on contemporary rock music. Basically, their goal is to create a sound that changes with time (con –with, tempo – time). The theme of their music is greatly influenced by songs dating back from the 70’s to the current trends. The four members share the same love for anything that sounds good, unbiased to different genres, and very much impartial to what is currently in demand. Their sound is mainly melodic, old school, up-tempo rock and roll, with a hint of grungy yet soft chord progressions. The idea of their music is to have a very solid and tough core, which gives an edgy drive, and at the same time provide a gentle outer layer for audible pleasure. With songs and lyrics that describes everyday life, may it be joy or sorrow, about friends and families, or people we love and hate, and more importantly, in life and in death, At Helen’s Wake hopes to touch peoples lives and hope that in the process, they’ll know, better yet believe, that they are not alone.
