Lila is a goose bump journey through melancholy and soaring melodies that lingers in the head. The band’s dedication to the craft remains unwavering with the intent to share their thoughts and emotions on issues which affects the common Pinoy such as love, and love, and oodles more of love. Romanticism in the age of dead Romeos… Lila is one sweet ride through the passions of the basic human emotion.
Formed April of 2003, Lila underwent changes. Conflicting schedules and priorities plagued the band but persevered. After bagging the Best Composition Award, placing 1st Runner-up in the Converse Battle of the bands against Agape and Join the Club in that same year; Lila re-aligned focus to pursue the quest of making it in the music industry with great songwriting.
Lila had graced the stage of, Freedom Bar, Café Katipunan, Gweilo’s, Kolumn Bar, Fluid, Saguijo, Purple Haze, and plays regularly at Kublai’s, Inihaw Republic, Mayrics and Sharky’s Bar & Grill under Sunshine Productions. Sporting Accel Shoes and Apparels, Lila played in Baguio, Cavite and Dagupan. The Band also had the chance to play in campuses such as the University of the Philippines, UST and Miriam College.
Lila was featured in magazines like Entity, Jammin’, Teen Star and Anthem. The band’s TV guestings included an appearance in Studio 23’s Breakfast, Channel 13’s defunct noontime show, Chowtime and RJTV 29’s Medyo Late Night Show with Jojo A. Their song “Isang Minuto Po” had been featured in Studio 23’s Barkada Trip.
Packed with a music video and a CD of original compositions, Lila is geared to slug it out with the best of them.
