Profile:
    "Less noise, more bounce.” So much in a few words, RJ the bassist describes their band’s music. Dale and Jay on guitars; Brent on percussions; Erwin on drums; Jules on Sax and front man Born-Ok, completes the group of seven known as Monoacid. Like every success story waiting to be tapped, it all began during the younger years – when books supposedly ruled over the guitars -- called college. Though Born-Ok, Jay, Brent, Dale and Rj were from the same school, they were not actually band mates during their college years. But being active around the band scene, they would oftentimes cross paths in school events and around the city gigs. Erwin by this time, being from another popular band “ The Blah” was working on a reputation as one of the best drummers in the city. Jay and Jules joined later – way later actually, when everyone had either a fiancée or a 9 to 5 job to juggle their time with creating their own brand of music.

    Fast forward to year 2004 – years after they took music as their main passion and now with their respective careers, the year they rekindled that old interest in the past is still throbbing inside. The bassist is now a banker. One of the guitarists now tendering his family business, the percussionist a telecom product salesman… and basically the very individuals have now taken various roads for their career. What pulled them back was their fixation and endless admiration for their individual influences; Karl Roy, P.O.T and Kapatid, Mutiny, Razorback, Wolfgang, Sound and Bamboo among others. Foreign artist that had the same effect include; The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Incognito, Foreplay and even Jamiroquai…

    What pulled them back was the allure of working together and creating what they truly love: music What pulled them back was the same burning passion that was living in and with them all this time, and what will hopefully bring Monoacid the chance to be heard. What pulled them back and what they really just want is a chance to bounce. That Monoacid bounce.
